Product details

After a tire rotation or sensor replacement, many vehicles need their tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors re-learned before the warning light behaves correctly. This handheld activation tool triggers each sensor so your vehicle can register its position — a job you can do in the driveway.

Highlights

  • Works with TPMS sensors on 315 MHz or 433 MHz frequencies
  • Intended for many vehicles from around 2012 onward
  • Useful after tire rotations, sensor replacements and new tire installs
  • Compact handheld that stores easily in a glovebox

Compatibility — please check

TPMS re-learn procedures differ between manufacturers, and not every vehicle can be re-learned with a handheld activation tool. Check the TPMS section of your owner's manual for a "relearn" procedure that uses an activation tool, or email us your vehicle make, model and year before ordering.

Specifications

  • Sensor frequencies: 315 MHz / 433 MHz
  • Function: TPMS sensor activation and re-learn
  • Type: handheld tool

Typical re-learn steps

  1. Inflate all tires to the pressure on your door-jamb sticker.
  2. Put the vehicle into TPMS learn mode as described in your owner's manual.
  3. Hold the tool against the tire sidewall near each valve stem and activate, following the order your manual gives (usually starting at the front left).
  4. Wait for the confirmation (often a horn chirp) before moving to the next wheel.

FAQs

Does it measure tire pressure?
No. It activates the sensors so the vehicle can re-learn them. Use a tire gauge to check pressure.

Will it work on my car?
It depends on your vehicle's TPMS system. Check your owner's manual or ask us before ordering.
