This Privacy Policy explains how Auto GoShop (“we,” “us” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit autogoshop.com, make a purchase, use our services or contact us. It also explains the choices and rights you may have.

Auto GoShop is responsible for the information it processes for its own business purposes. Shopify and other providers may also process information for their own purposes as described in their privacy policies.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with our store, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact and account information: Your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, and information associated with an account you choose to create.

  • Order and transaction information: Products and variants selected, quantities, payment status, order history, discount use, delivery and tracking details, cancellations, returns and refunds. Payment providers process payment credentials. Information available to us may include your payment method, transaction references and limited card details.

  • Communications: Messages, support requests, photos or documents you send about an order, and vehicle details you provide when asking about product compatibility. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details, government identification or unrelated sensitive information through ordinary email or our contact form.

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, approximate location inferred from your IP address, referring pages, pages and products viewed, interactions, shopping-cart activity and identifiers generated through cookies or similar technologies.

  • Preferences and choices: Country, currency, marketing preferences, cookie choices and privacy requests.

We receive information directly from you, automatically through the store, and from providers that help process payments, prevent fraud, deliver orders, measure site activity or support advertising. The information processed depends on the features you use and your privacy choices.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Accept and fulfill orders, process payments, arrange delivery, provide tracking, and manage returns and refunds.

  • Maintain accounts and shopping carts, respond to questions and send essential order or service messages.

Where required by applicable law, we treat recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as requests to opt out of the processing covered by those signals. Ordinary browser “Do Not Track” signals are different from Global Privacy Control and may not trigger the same response.

4. Who receives information

We disclose information as needed for the purposes described in this policy to:

  • Shopify: For store hosting, checkout, platform operations and related services.

  • Payment and fraud-prevention providers: For payment authorization, transaction security and dispute handling.

  • Fulfillment, delivery and support providers: For preparing and delivering orders, tracking parcels and responding to requests.

  • Technology, analytics, communication and advertising providers: For operating, measuring and promoting the store, subject to applicable privacy choices.

  • Professional advisers, authorities and other parties: When necessary to comply with law, protect rights and security, resolve claims or carry out a business transaction such as a merger or sale, subject to applicable safeguards.

We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so. Providers’ handling of information for their own independent purposes is governed by their own privacy notices.

5. Shopify’s role

Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify receives and processes information about access to and use of the store to provide and improve its services.

Depending on the Shopify services enabled and your choices, Shopify may use information from interactions with our store and other merchants to provide additional platform features.

6. Retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including servicing orders, maintaining business and tax records, handling disputes, preventing fraud and meeting legal obligations.

The appropriate retention period depends on the type of record and applicable requirements. A deletion request may not require deletion of records we must lawfully retain.

We use reasonable measures designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Keep your account credentials private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized activity involving your order or account.

7. International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States and countries where Shopify or other service providers operate. Privacy laws can differ between countries.

Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, relevant transfers are subject to an approved mechanism, such as contractual protections or another legally recognized basis. Contact us to request information about safeguards applicable to your information.

8. Your rights and how to exercise them

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to:

  • Correct inaccurate information.

  • Request deletion.

  • Restrict or object to certain processing.

  • Withdraw consent.

Some laws also provide rights concerning sensitive information and decisions made solely by automated means with legally significant effects. Rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law.

Tell us the right you want to exercise and the email address associated with your interactions. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. We will not ask you to send your password or full card number by email.

We respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any permitted extension or reason a request cannot be completed.

Where available, you may appeal a decision by replying to our response or emailing us with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. You may also complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority.

We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

9. California and other US state residents

Where applicable state privacy law covers our processing, the categories described in Section 1 may include identifiers, customer-record information, commercial information, internet or network activity, approximate location and inferences about shopping interests.

Sources, purposes and recipient categories are described above. Information disclosed for advertising can include identifiers, browsing activity and commercial information and may qualify as sale or sharing under applicable law.

10. Marketing and service messages

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential communications about purchases, payments, delivery, security or an existing support request.

Providing a telephone number for delivery does not itself mean you have agreed to every form of marketing.

11. Children and third-party websites

Our store is intended for adult shoppers and is not directed to children. Any products intended for children should be purchased by an adult.

If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Links to social networks, payment services and other external websites lead to services with their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information. We do not control those external services.
